Applicant Status Once you have submitted an application and are accepted, your status will be recruit.
We do not have titles or promotions, every 5 levels or what not, simply because people place too much emphasis on such labels that really do not mean anything. Too much emphasis on anything tends to create drama.
After 14 to 30 days, you will either become a member or you will be removed from the guild. Exceptions can be made to extend recruitment time period by officers. Officers reserve the power to either increase of decrease the recruitment period. You can consult the officers and inquire the reasoning behind your extension or decreasing of recruitment period.
We do not have a guild wide voting process. All decisions are made by the guild officers but the officers do take heavy consideration in the opinions of other guild members. Officers base promotion primarily upon participation, effort, skill, and attitude toward guild progression. This not only includes raid days, but time spent farming mats for pots, enchants, etc. the guild needs for raid progression.
Recruits do not have rights to loot over members. If a loot drops, and a member needs it, even if the recruit has more DKP, the member will be awarded said loot. So, it benefits a recruit to be striving hard for membership status.
What will get You Demoted or Booted from PwnHammer
1. Goofing off in raids: We are there to get the job done, done right, and in a timely fashion. If you plan on cluttering raid chat with inane comments, surfing the web, consistent AFKing, chatting to friends to the point you are not doing your job, etc. we don't need you. Plenty of casual guilds out there that don't mind such behavior that you would probably fit in with.
2. Consistent unexcused tardiness or absences to raids: Real life over WoW always, but we ask if you have to work overtime, have class, fam commitment, etc. please take the time to post a note on the boards saying "Hey I will be gone/late." If an emergency comes up and you cannot post before hand, understood, but if you seem to have a bit too many emergencies, it is obvious that you are a lazy slacker.
Raid isn't about * I want * it is about * We need *. Others rely on you, as you rely on others. We haven't met a gamer yet who can solo Molten Core.
3. Drama Queens and Asshattery: If someone is called out or given some good natured hell for doing an asshat manuever in a raid when they knew better is one thing, but personal attacks are unacceptable and we all know personality conflicts are inevitable in this type of gaming atmosphere. So, we ask that members try to resolve an issue privately first, but if there is no agreement made, then take it to an officer. If an officer cannot resolve it, trust us, the guild master will.
Voice your opinions, curse your head off, do whatever you want to do or say in guild chat, this isn't Walton's Mountain full of love and sunshine. If you don't like a policy or how things are handled, voice it. The officers NEVER want people to feel they can't open their mouths. But, if you consistently attack other guild members in open chat, causing drama for your own amusement, need for attention, etc. then we don't need you.
Some people feel that some issues need to be taken to officers and not exposed in guild chat especially those dealing with decisions made or policies. This may be true as not all guildies will have the full story and can cause drama but open discussion among guild mates is encouraged. Use your own judgement and common sense.
Avoidance of issues or ignoring to prevent uncomfortable drama or confrontations is weak.
Free speech always, and trust us, the officers have the balls to deal with any situation that may arise and are always open to suggestions for a better mousetrap.
Keep in mind, the guild leader and officers cannot fix what they don't know is broken.
If you choose to have the attitude "I am not going to bother, nothing will change." and are content to just whine to your buddies, then you have no one else to blame but yourself.
4. Slacking: We heavily encourage guild members to be self sufficent (see self sufficent link). You need to be coming to raids prepared. Once in a while is understandable, we all have our * I forgot! * days, but if it is observed you are relying on guildmates most of the time for such items as pots or bandaids or you don't have your regents for buffs or rezzing, we don't need you.
If you spout "I didn't have time this week!" Then you will hear "You had time to log on to raid, sucks to be you, you won't be raiding tonight, get to farming." Trust us, if enough raids are cancelled due to slackers not coming prepared or not providing mats to the guild bank to help provide pots, etc. the officers won't have to say a word, your guildies will eat you alive.
===========
In closing, always be aware that while officers will bust ass to maintain fairness and smooth sailing, they cannot please all the people all the time and are concerned primarily with the betterment and progression of the whole over individuals. So, if you find yourself consistently unhappy, you are better off finding a new guild.
